This policy describes how Innocube Technologies (Davao City, Philippines) collects, uses, and protects your data when you use the ICT Chess BT Android application. Questions? Email [email protected].
Information we collect
- Mobile phone number — used to identify your account and verify it via OTP
- Full name — provided during sign-up for display in the app
What we do NOT collect
- GPS location or precise/approximate location data
- Contacts, camera, photos, or microphone
- SMS content or call logs
- Payment card numbers or bank details
- Government IDs or biometric data
- Facial images
- Device identifiers beyond what is strictly necessary for app function
How we use your data
- Identify and authenticate your account via OTP
- Display your name to other players during a game session
- Provide customer support
- Detect and prevent abuse or fraud
- Comply with applicable Philippine law
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
How your data is shared
- Other players — your display name is visible to opponents during an active game session only
- Service providers — Google Cloud (Firebase / Cloud Run) under data-processing agreements; they may not use your data independently
- Legal requests — where required by Philippine law or a valid court order
Data retention
- Account profile (name + phone): retained while your account is active — permanently deletable on request
- Game session records: deleted after 90 days
Your rights — Philippines Data Privacy Act R.A. 10173
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to access, correct, delete, object to processing, and withdraw consent for your personal data.
To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
You may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
App permissions
- Internet: required for account authentication and online game connectivity
- Bluetooth: used for local device-to-device multiplayer games — no data is transmitted to our servers over Bluetooth
You may revoke permissions at any time in your device settings. Revoking Bluetooth disables local multiplayer mode.
Children
ICT Chess BT is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Contact us at [email protected] to remove any data submitted by a minor.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be announced inside the app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of ICT Chess BT after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
